I am Shirin Araghi, an emerging fashion and apparel designer from Germany, currently working at C&A, where I create Premium knitwear and jersey pieces for Ladies. 2019 I graduated from the AMD with the best grades of my year, I was awarded with the certificate of excellence and I won the award for the best graduate collection (AMD Fashion Award 2019). After finishing my studies, I won the 2019 ISKOOL Sustainability Commendation, as well as the 2019 Mittelmoda Sustainability Award. In 2021 I was a Finalist at the Strauss Workwear Couture Award.

I focused on sustainability very early in my young career. As a student, when I was exploring my creativity and when I got the feeling, that I was on the right path and that fashion design is my whole vocation, I suddenly started doubting. I learned, that this industry, which always seems to be bright, glamorous and iridescent, was dirty behind the curtains of superficiality. I felt the strong urge to change this business, because I was so thankful about the possibility to live my dream, that I wanted to give something back to the world of fashion, which became my home.
